Dear Robeson Families,

As we move further into spring and approach the end of the school year, we are noticing what is often referred to as “spring fever” among students. With warmer weather, upcoming breaks, and excitement about summer, some students are finding it more challenging to stay focused and consistently meet behavioral expectations.

We have also observed an increase in behaviors that can disrupt learning, both in the classroom and during transitions. While this is a common time of year for these challenges, it is important to remember that we still have valuable instructional time ahead. There is meaningful learning left to accomplish, and we want to ensure that all students continue to benefit from a productive and respectful school environment.

We are actively reinforcing school-wide expectations and working with students to support positive choices. Your partnership is essential in helping students finish the year strong. We encourage you to speak with your child about the importance of maintaining focus, showing respect, and taking responsibility for their actions at school.

Thank you for your continued support. Together, we can help ensure a strong and successful end to the school year for all students.

Warmly,

Joanne Schnelle

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4-8. In partnership with PTA, we chose a decades theme titled Teachers are Groovy! Each day will focus on a specific decade and we would love your support and donations. Be on the lookout for donation sign up links. Below is the schedule:

Monday ‘80s

“I want my MTV!” - Memorable Teacher Victories. Throwing it back to big hair, mixtapes, and neon dreams while celebrating the real icons: our teachers. From the student who finally got it, to the lesson that sparked a lifelong passion, to the quiet moments that changed everything…These are the victories that don’t always make headlines—but deserve a standing ovation.

Snack Cart with ‘80s snack items (ex: fruit roll-ups, warheads, Kraft handi-snacks, nerds, capri sun, cheeseballs, etc.) and Build Your Own Lunchables. Donations of charcuterie items for lunchables (cheese, lunch meat, crackers, nuts, etc.) are welcome.

Tuesday ‘90s

“Teachers are Da Bomb!” - Texas Roadhouse lives by the motto “Legendary Food, Legendary Service,” and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our legendary teachers!

We’re excited to provide a Texas Roadhouse lunch in their honor. We welcome donations of condiments, drinks, and desserts.

Wednesday 2000s

“On Wednesdays we wear pink!” - Because behind every lesson, every late-night grading session, every “you’ve got this” moment… is a teacher who shows up again and again. Channeling those iconic 2000s vibes while celebrating the real MVPs of our lives - the ones who taught us confidence, kindness, and how to find our voice. So yes… on Wednesdays we wear pink.

Burgers and Hotdogs grilled by Chefmaster Stefan Ritz. Donations of drinks, sides, and desserts are welcome.

Thursday 2010s

“Take a break from adulting and take a seat in the lounge.” When Instagram filters ruled, selfies were an art form, and the Avengers first assembled on the big screen. Today, the lounge is your hero headquarters. A place to recharge, reconnect, and celebrate the everyday superheroes in our schools. From lesson plans to life plans, you’ve been doing the most. Now it’s time to pause the hustle, step away from the adulting, and enjoy a well-deserved moment for you. Because every hero deserves a lounge break.

Donations of movie snacks (candy, popcorn, and drinks) are welcome.

Friday 2020s

“Wake up, it’s 2026!” And before the emails, the lesson plans, and the endless to-do lists…it’s time for something better: Breakfast! In this era of early alarms and always-on schedules, we’re hitting pause to celebrate you—the real trendsetters, multitaskers, and difference-makers. Swing by, fuel up, and start your day surrounded by gratitude (and good coffee). Because in 2026, taking care of our teachers isn’t optional—it’s essential. So wake up, grab a plate, and let us celebrate YOU.

Breakfast at Robeson. Donations of casseroles, donuts, bagels & cream cheese, muffins, juice, yogurt, etc.) are welcome.
